Parisian Charm

Welcome to The Arcadia! In its original condition, this 40 year old apartment was given a new lease of life with a complete overhaul. At 3,800 square feet, this property is home to a sophisticated gentleman who appreciates culture, heritage and class. Our design brief was to design a space modern, calm, timeless with reminiscence of the Paris Chic and Art Deco periods.

The overall palette was kept as neutral as possible with white as the base colour, matched with pale wood veneer on the built-ins. This simplicity allows flexibility to harmonize different textures, colours and patterns especially on the display items, furniture and paintings. In the living room, customized coffee tables made with Patagonia granite slabs, chairs upholstered with fabric from Pierre Frey and exquisite art from Vietnamese artists gives life to this space.

 The Master Suite

The first glance into the master bedroom is indeed an eye-opening experience as one is greeted by the dramatic bathroom - A glassed enclosure decorated by metal lattice with a curved glass corner, a sight bound to wow first time visitors.

In the resting quarters, the same simplicity finds its way on the walls here. The curved walnut panels at the corners of the bed matches the side tables, cabinet and arm chairs to bring about a sense of old-world charm to this space.

 Common Bedrooms

True to the nature of the design intent, the sense of Parisian flair fills each room which is paired with art-deco style furniture and decorated with artwork that is privately commissioned for the homeowner himself.
