The Makeover
Welcome to Park Villas! This nearly 30 year old semi-dethatched house was given a long overdue makeover from its original state. Carrying invaluable sentimental value, this is not only a house but a home where the owners witness their children growing up and starting their own families.
The layout and use of each rooms were not changed but the finishes, overall look and color scheme were given a complete makeover. In the living, slabs of marble were carefully book-matched and used on the flooring to exude a sense of airiness and generosity in this common space. The large window panels were ample throughout the living, creating a naturally bright ambient which is highlighted by the voluminous 7m ceiling.
Subtle textures and details such as the bronze metal trimming and concave panels were used along the beams to frame up the living space, paired with the special effect paint on the walls around. Taking centerstage in this space are the 2 slabs of marble from Antolini which were vertically matched and paired with the bronze tinted mirrors on each side.
The result? A well balanced space with subtle detailing fills the air with an understated sense of luxury.
