Simply Understated

It’s simple, it’s clean and it’s minimal… That’s exactly what comes to mind at first glance! A closer look reveals the detailing beneath this almost monochromatic apartment.

Despite the simplicity, no effort was spared on minor details creating a sense of understatement. In the living/dinging area, straight lines form the basis of the design intent. The curved corners along the ceiling is intentional to juxtaposing the vertical strips and soothe the boxy outcome.

Taking the details a step further, each vertical strip is designed with not just a different width but varying degrees of protrusion as well! Masked in the strips hides a sliding door to the Master’s Bedroom which sits inconspicuously beside the beautiful Italian marble slab from Antolini.

The detailing comes to life as the lights go on and the ambiance turns upscale

 The Hidden Corner

The design intent gets toned down in the master’s bedroom as we adopt large floor to ceiling sliding doors for the wardrobe which doubles up as wall paneling in this resting quarters. The cushioned headboard with the night light not only softens the overall look but creates a relaxing ambiance for a good night’s rest.
