Summerhaus D'zign - The Avenir

Ivory & Sepia

Welcome to the Avenir! This brand new 3 bedroom condominium apartment was given an enhancement as we decorated this 106 square meter space, leaving no walls untouched. The design intent was to create a modern look with an atmosphere of luxe in a bright setting. To achieve a bright setting, light tones were employed along the wall cladding which were accented by a series of materials and textures.

Right from the entrance, visitors are greeted by panels of ivory coloured leather cladding which covers the entire stretch to the living room. Imported from Austria, these leather panels are inlaid with vertical strips of lights which illuminates the entree way. Facing this wall from the entrance is the shoe cabinet, finished with veneer and natural stone in the niche.

In the living and dining space, 2 slabs of Grigio Oribico marble, bookmatched to form a ā€œVā€ shape, sits behind the TV. With its brownish sepia tones, it gives an accent to the overall ivory environment. Facing the TV wall is half a slab of Patogonia Vitrum quartzite, clad over the wall behind the sofa.

Curves were introduced on the TV console and ceiling to smoothen the rectangular layout and the lines along the flutes. The ceiling was treated with special effects paint which gives off some shin as light shines on it. Attention was given to minute details like the metal caps used to finish off edges along the marble and wall panels, the proportions, layers and textures employed in the wall panels and the indirect lighting which works to enhance the overall ambience.

 The Bedrooms

The three bedrooms were used as a Master bedroom, a common room and a study/work room respectively. The overall design theme is carried into the two bedrooms which is fitted with a set of customized headboard, bed frame, side tables and all walls were finished with wallpaper.

In the study room, the table was designed to fit 2 users which comes with a row of drawers underneath the stone table top to ensure no wasted space. Hanging on the wall is a suspended cabinet for files and books, maximizing all space for storage.
